We want to recruit an Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Data. You are in your early career and want to understand the role that chemicals play in influencing public health and the environment by collecting and studying large, complex data sets. You have demonstratable expertise using FAIR Principles that allow research data to be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable, for both machines and people. You want to apply FAIR Principles to effectively reduce environmental health risks through policy and regulation. You also want to fill knowledge gaps between theory and implementation in practice by providing technical and semantic solutions and data processing workflows. Your important research is needed to enable the seamless integration of disparate datasets (e.g., high-content imaging, omics, environmental, epidemiological) at different levels of resolution and complexity to enable conclusions to be drawn from these data using emerging computational tools, such as augmented and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. You are particularly encouraged to apply if you are passionate about FAIR Principles and have great ideas on how these can be used to address the technical and computational challenges of closing data gaps.
